Inbox automation

When you connect your inbox to the SPEAR platform, it will:

• 1. Allow you to send e-mail directly from the SPEAR platform while also appearing in your Sent folder
• 2. Allow SPEAR to identify responses from suppliers in your Inbox and fetch this e-mail to the Spear Platform

Spear does not insert any Machine Learning or Artificial intelligence device into your Inbox. To protect your privacy, Spear only fetches interactions with suppliers that you have previously engaged with. Please see our privacy policy below.

Any supplier interactions that are fetched and stored in the Spear Platform are only processed to provide you with insights into that particular supplier engagement. The Spear Platform will also process this data to potentially find alternative suppliers that you could engage with at your discretion.

• The above notice states that Spear can see and update the data in your Inbox. This is standard notice for all apps featured in the Microsoft/Google ecosystem. Spear has access to all emails, however it will only be selecting emails that you have sent and received from a supplier.


• When you click Accept, you may be prompted to log in to your Office 365 or Google account. Enter the email address of the account you want to use.


• Necessary Disclosure: Spear will have access to information associated with your account, including contacts and emails. Spear will scan the content of your emails to identify which emails you have previously sent or received from a supplier. Spear will only fetch and store e-mails relevant to supplier engagement

What Information We Collect and Process

We only collect and process e-mail engagements with suppliers. We identify these suppliers by the subject lines and e-mails you send looking for product information, quotes, price information, purchase orders, purchase invoices, goods receive notes or other indicators that signal their identity as suppliers.

We also collect information from other sources such as the internet, supplier’s database, product catalogues and trade exhibitions to identify suppliers.
